Eudora is a desktop email client was developed by Steve Dorner in 1988 and acquired by Qualcomm in 1991. The Eudora mail is supported by Apple Macintosh and Windows operating systems but is no longer under development. Due to this, users start wondering how to read Eudora .mbx files with MS Outlook or independently.

Generally Eudora mail stores all email in a file that is known as .mbx file. This file format is also accepted by a few more desktop email clients. MS Outlook does not support or open Eudora mail files directly for that you need to perform email conversion of MBX file to PST format.

• For MAC OS:
  Macintosh HD:User:Documents:Eudora Folder

File Formats with Their Extensions!

Each mail folder of Eudora mail like: Inbox, Outbox and Sent Items etc are stored into two files. The first file is .mbx which stores all email messages and second is .toc that contains a table of contents for messages stored within a certain Eudora mail folder. You can find both file types from default location as suggested above.

Note: You can use .mbx file (contains your all messages and attachments) to read Eudora mail emails.
